I haven't blogged in a week. Might be some kind of record for me!

Today I found my hairbrush that went missing two days ago. It was in the kitchen cabinets, with all the sauce pans, of course.

Isaac's other sandal was found today as well, it had been hiding somewhere in the mysterious vortex also known as Alex and Thomas' room.

Swim lessons started this week. The 3 who are attending seemed to enjoy themselves and are looking forward to going back on Wednesday.

Thomas called me from Steven's phone today while I was at work. He just wanted to let me know that Elijah had gotten one of my earrings and taken it into the kitchen. I asked him where "Dad" was and he said, "In the living room, hey, you wanna talk to Eli?" and then he gave the phone to Elijah. He's a master of evasion. At some point they finally gave the phone to Steven who had no idea they had called me.

I did not watch the Michael Jackson memorial service. I was at work. I did see that lots of people made comments about it on Facebook.

We had a great 4th. 3 of the kiddos were at their grandparent's house so Steven and I lazed around all day, swam in the pool, grilled steaks for lunch, and just generally had a blast. Then we met up with the rest of the kids at church where we watched the downtown Little Rock fireworks. It was pretty cool. Alex, Thomas, and Elijah loved the fireworks. Isaac pretty much wasn't paying attention to them.

Steven has an ear infection.

That's our week in a nutshell.

After spending the better part of today getting the pool ready, now we are just waiting while it fills with water. This is a long process. The kids are beside themselves with anxiety. I'm hearing a lot of:
"We'll NEVER get to swim!"
"We'll have to wait until TOMORROW!"
"How many minutes are left?"
"It looks the same as it did a minute ago"
"Can we open the goggles?"
"When it's ready, will you carry me out to it?" (um no, Thomas, I won't!)

They're excited and I'm excited, and everyone is hot. Even in the house. It's just too hot out there for the a/c to totally compete.
